<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Erosion and Sedimentation Control <br />Project No. 180162 31 25 00 - 10 <br /> <br />G. Quarry Spalls <br />1. Per WSDOT 9-13.1(5), conform to the following gradation: <br /> <br />U.S. Standard Sieve Size Percent by Weight Passing <br />8 inch 100 <br />3 inch 40 max <br />3/4-inch 10 max <br /> <br />2. For construction entrances, meet the above requirements with the exception that the <br />percent passing the 3/4-inch screen shall be limited to 5 percent maximum. <br />H. Storm Drain Inlet Protection <br />1. Prefabricated units specifically designed for storm drain inlet protection per BMP <br />C220 or COE Standard Detail 210. <br />2. Remain securely attached to the drainage structure when fully loaded with sediment <br />and debris. <br />3. Lifting handle for removal. <br />4. Overflow to prevent ponding. <br />5. Drain Guard, Silt Sack, or Approved Equal. <br />I. Compost Filter Sock <br />1. Compost material encased in a biodegradable mesh tube. See Civil Detail 1/CD- <br />2611 for more information. <br />2. Compost sock shall have a minimum diameter of 8 inches and shall be free from any <br />type of preservative. <br />3. Sock shall be a mesh tube, oval to round in cross section and shall be clean, evenly <br />woven, and free of encrusted concrete or other contaminating materials and free <br />from cuts, tears, broken or missing yarns and thin, open or weak places. <br />4. Sock shall have a minimum tensile strength of 44 psi. <br />5. Sock shall be composed of either degradable plastic or polyester netting or <br />composed of biodegradable jute, sisal, burlap, or coir fabric. <br />6. Sock shall have a life expectance of approximately one year. <br />J. Sandbags <br />1. Sandbag length shall be 24 inches. Width shall be 16 inches. Sandbag thickness <br />shall be 6 to 8 inches. <br />2. Minimum weight of a sandbag shall be 50 pounds. <br />3. Sandbag material shall be polypropylene, polyethylene or polyamide woven fabric <br />with a minimum unit weight is 4 ounces per square yard, with a mullen burst strength <br />exceeding 300 psi in conformance with the requirements in ASTM D3786; and <br />ultraviolet stability exceeding 70 percent in conformance with the requirements in <br />ASTM D4355. <br />4. Clean coarse sand shall be used inside the sandbag. <br />K. Enhanced Treatment System
