ASTM D4397 for polyethylene sheeting. <br />b. Construed, copolymer laminate. <br />c. Physical strength requirements: <br />1) Tear strength, lbs.: 130 per ASTM D1004. <br />2) Elongation: Less than 50 percent per ASTM D4632. <br />3) Minimum life expectancy: 2-1/2 years of outdoor exposure. <br />d. Reinforcing: Non-woven grid of high strength nylon cord submerged in a <br />permanently flexible adhesive medium. <br />e. Equal tear resistance in all directions. <br />f. Ultraviolet light stabilized. <br />g. Material to be from a single manufacturer. <br />D. Geotextile Fabric <br />1. Stabilized construction entrance geotextile fabric shall meet the following: <br /> <br />Property Test Survivability <br />AOS Sieve ASTM D4751 20-45 US Standard Sieve <br />Grab Tensile Strength ASTM D4751 200 psi min <br />Grab Tensile Elongation ASTM D4632 30% max. <br />Mullen Burst Strength ASTM D3786 400 psi min. <br /> <br />2. Soil Separation and Stabilization <br />a. Per WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 9-33.2(1) Table 3. <br />3. Temporary silt fence geotextile fabric shall meet the following: <br />a. Per WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 9-33.2(1) Table 6. <br />E. High Visibility Fence <br />1. High visibility fence shall be composed of a UV stabilized, high-visibility orange, high- <br />density polyethylene or polypropylene mesh at least four feet in height. The fence <br />tensile strength shall be 360 lbs/ft using the ASTM D4595 testing method. <br />2. Support posts shall be wood or steel in accordance to Standard Plan I-10.10. The <br />posts shall have sufficient strength and durability to support the fence through the <br />life of the project. <br />F. Temporary Silt Fence <br />1. Temporary silt fence shall be a minimum of 5 feet in height, and fabric shall meet the <br />requirements Section 2.01, Geotextiles. <br />2. The posts shall have sufficient strength and durability to support the fence through <br />the life of the project.
