<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Surface Restoration <br />Project No. 180162 32 10 00 - 1 <br /> <br />SECTION 32 10 00 <br />SURFACE RESTORATION <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A. This Section specifies surface restoration. Provide all labor, equipment, materials, and <br />services required to replace existing surfaces and improvements removed, damaged, or <br />worn during performance of the Work. <br />B. Restoration shall include surfaces, all improvements, and maintaining or detouring traffic <br />including, but not limited to, utility covers and boxes, monuments, markers and striping, <br />signage, permanent pavement and surfacing and base and subgrade aggregate, <br />driveways, traffic control devices (e.g. loop detectors) and all ancillary components <br />removed or disturbed. Restoration of sidewalks; curbs; gutters; valley gutters shall be <br />incidental to the Work requiring removal and replacement. Surface restoration shall meet <br />the requirements of the government agency having jurisdiction (AHJ) of the right-of-way. <br />1. This Work shall consist of the reconstruction and patching of trenches and other <br />excavations in paved streets and other paved areas in accordance with COE Division <br />05. <br />2. Improvements shall be reconstructed to equal or better, in all respects, than the <br />existing improvements removed. <br />3. In the case of conflict between the listed Agency’s requirements and as required <br />herein, the requirements affording the greatest protection to the Public and/or Owner <br />shall apply, as determined by the Owner’s Representative. <br />C. Paving activities to conform with WSDOT 5-04.3(1) Weather Limitations. <br />D. All materials are subject to testing and prior approval. <br />1. Work within the Port property crosses and is adjacent to the Kimberly-Clark <br />Worldwide MTCA Site and the ExxonMobil/ADC MTCA site, which are listed on the <br />Washington State Department of Ecology’s (ECY) Confirmed and Suspected <br />Contaminated Sites List. <br />2. All import materials to be used for borrow, backfill and bedding are subject to the <br />Port requirements for testing, including contaminate and quality testing and <br />acceptance prior to delivery to the project site. Refer to City of Everett Special <br />Provision Section 3-01 for additional requirements. Chemical testing of all import <br />materials is required per Subparagraph 2.08. <br />E. Pipe construction, trenching and backfill plan submittal requirements are per Section 7- <br />08.3.
