<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Surface Restoration <br />Project No. 180162 32 10 00 - 5 <br /> <br />B. The following additional material submittals are required: <br />1. Contractor shall submit Pipe Construction and Backfill Plan as described in <br />Section 7-08. <br />2. Prepare and submit a list of proposed material suppliers. Provide address from <br />where the material is originating. <br />3. All material import to the site is subject to review and acceptance by the Engineer <br />prior to importing any backfill material to the site: <br />1) Certification of gradation and material compliance with plans and <br />specifications, along with copies of associated laboratory test results. <br />2) Certification that the imported fill materials were obtained from a commercial <br />quarry or pit permitted by the State of Washington. <br />4. Provide certification of chemical constituents for the imported fill materials, <br />either through documentation of existing chemical analyses or by project- specific <br />testing and analyses, as directed by the Engineer in consultation with the Port of <br />Everett and Department of Ecology. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 GENERAL <br />A. Pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway, etc. shall be cut vertically parallel to the <br />lines forming the trench, or at the nearest full joint, in such a manner as to not cause <br />damage to adjoining pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway, etc. The portion to <br />be removed shall be broken up in a manner that will not cause damage to the pavement <br />or concrete outside the limits of the trench. <br />B. Unless otherwise required by the agency with jurisdiction, incidental concrete shall meet <br />COE Standards and Specification and WSDOT Standard Specifications. <br />C. Sawcut lines and joints will not be permitted within the limits of a travel lane. Pavement <br />replacement limits and resurfacing limits shall extend to the edge of any travel lane in <br />which pavement must be replaced, as approved by the Owner’s Representative. <br />D. Do not install asphalt or concrete surfacing until trench compaction is accepted by <br />Owner’s Representative. Final saw cuts shall only be made after trench backfill to <br />prevent undermining of the existing surface, unless otherwise approved by the Owner’s <br />Representative. <br />3.02 SCHEDULING <br />A. Scheduling of surface restoration shall comply with the environmental limitation <br />requirements of the government agency having jurisdiction of the right-of-way. <br />3.03 COORDINATION OF TRAFFIC <br />A. Hazardous areas shall be barricaded to protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
