PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Surface Restoration
Project No. 180162 32 10 00 - 8

D. Geotechnical Testing (as applicable)
1. If the road must support heavy vehicle loads (e.g., solid‑waste or commercial
truck traffic), the Construction Manager may require subgrade strength testing
(CBR, R‑value, or k‑value) to verify acceptable compaction.
E. Maintain the temporary road in drivable condition throughout use, including reshaping,
regrading, and adding material as necessary.
1. Repair potholes, rutting, or soft spots immediately.
F. Remove temporary materials and geotextiles prior to surface restoration with asphalt
pavements. Scarify and recompact subgrade as required.
G. Provide Proof‑Rolling Evaluation of surface prior to placement of permanent surfaces.
Subgrade must remain stable and non‑yielding under proof‑rolling. Deficient areas shall
be undercut and repaired. The Construction Manager may require in‑situ density tests to
verify acceptable compaction.
H. Provide geotextiles, base, and asphalt as specified for permanent restoration.
END OF SECTION
