<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Surface Restoration <br />Project No. 180162 32 10 00 - 8 <br /> <br />D. Geotechnical Testing (as applicable) <br />1. If the road must support heavy vehicle loads (e.g., solid‑waste or commercial <br />truck traffic), the Construction Manager may require subgrade strength testing <br />(CBR, R‑value, or k‑value) to verify acceptable compaction. <br />E. Maintain the temporary road in drivable condition throughout use, including reshaping, <br />regrading, and adding material as necessary. <br />1. Repair potholes, rutting, or soft spots immediately. <br />F. Remove temporary materials and geotextiles prior to surface restoration with asphalt <br />pavements. Scarify and recompact subgrade as required. <br />G. Provide Proof‑Rolling Evaluation of surface prior to placement of permanent surfaces. <br />Subgrade must remain stable and non‑yielding under proof‑rolling. Deficient areas shall <br />be undercut and repaired. The Construction Manager may require in‑situ density tests to <br />verify acceptable compaction. <br />H. Provide geotextiles, base, and asphalt as specified for permanent restoration. <br />END OF SECTION
