Final pile tip elevations shall be determined by the <br />contractor. <br />2 Contractor pile installation techniques and sequencing were not known at the time of this report; therefore, <br />HWA conservatively ignored pile capacity contribution between approximate elevations 12 feet and -7 feet. <br />3Pile diameter corresponds to pile type (e.g., piles shall be 8-inch-diameter micropiles or 18-inch-diameter <br />concrete-filled driven piles). <br /> <br /> <br />HWA recommends that the ultimate uplift capacity include a factor of safety of 2.0 for the static <br />loading condition and a factor of safety of at least 1.0 for the seismic loading condition. The <br />weight of the pile is not included in the uplift capacities presented in Table 4.
