2026 Pavement Maintenance Overlay Special Provisions <br />PW# 3860 SP - 90 March 5, 2026 <br />1 other temporary longitudinal line shall be installed by striping truck based on Contractor <br />2 layout. Push carts or hand application is not allowed for longitudinal line. Temporary stop <br />3 lines and arrows shall be installed to their original location. Parking lines and bike lane <br />4 lines do not need to be installed as temporary pavement markings but may require layout <br />5 by the Contractor to determine pavement seams. <br />6 <br />7 All temporary pavement markings on the wearing course shall be installed in tape with the <br />8 dimensions described in 8-23.3(4)A Temporary Pavement Markings-Short Duration. <br />9 Temporary pavement marking tape for temporary center line, edge line, lane line, and <br />10 other temporary longitudinal line shall be installed by hand application based on <br />11 Contracting Agency layout. Temporary longitudinal lines shall be offset at least 6 inches <br />12 from the intended permanent markings provided by the Contracting Agency. Temporary <br />13 tape stop lines and arrows shall be installed at locations to their original configuration. <br />14 Tape stop lines can be installed with a perimeter marking 24 inches wide or single 8 inch <br />15 wide line. Tape arrows can be installed with a single 4 inch tape or perimeter in an arrow <br />16 shape the length of the original arrow. Crosswalks shall be two transverse and unbroken <br />17 8 inch wide tape lines.
