2026 Pavement Maintenance Overlay Special Provisions <br />PW# 3860 SP - 47 March 5, 2026 <br />1 *** <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 The Contractor must obtain prior approval for use of off-duty UPOs through an approved <br />5 traffic control plan and approved amendments to the Contract traffic control plans. The <br />6 off-duty UPO shall be in addition to all other personnel required for flagging according to <br />7 the approved traffic control plan. <br />8 <br />9 A UPO shall be provided in the event of accidental power outages or disruption of a <br />10 signalized intersection as a result of Contractors Work and remain in place until the <br />11 intersection becomes satisfactorily operational as determined by Agency Engineer or <br />12 his/her representative. <br />13 <br />14 The UPO shall provide their Agency Police Vehicle with active light bars for night visibility. <br />15 <br />16 2-04.4.GR2 <br />17 Measurement <br />18 <br />19 2-04.4(2).GR2 <br />20 Item Bids With Lump Sum for Incidentals <br />21 <br />22 2-04.4(2).RTF <br />23 2-04.4(2) Item Bids With Lump Sum for Incidentals <br />24 (February 17, 2026 APWA GSP) <br />25 <br />26 Section 2-04.4(2) is supplemented with the following: <br />27 <br />28 Uniformed Police Officer will be measured by the hour.
