Page 31 <br />kimley-horn.com 2828 Colby Avenue, Suite 200 Everett, WA 98201 425-708-8275 <br />Intermediate Design Development <br />Intermediate design activities are anticipated to include: <br />·Advancement of the Preliminary (~30%) Plans to an approximate ~60% level of design, <br />including refinement of horizontal and vertical geometry, structural calculations and plan <br />development, ADA features, and site connections. <br />·Further development of architectural, landscape, and urban design features, including <br />materials, finishes, and aesthetic treatments consistent with project goals and stakeholder <br />input. <br />·Coordination across disciplines to confirm design consistency, constructability, and <br />compatibility with utility, environmental, and permitting constraints. <br />·QA/QC review of plans, specifications, and quantities, to confirm consistency and <br />completeness. <br />While select design refinement is anticipated as part of the ~60% design process, modifications <br />to major design elements, such as pedestrian bridge type, size, span configuration, alignment, or <br />location, would constitute a design revision and may require adjustments to scope, fee, and <br />schedule through a formal amendment. <br />The Intermediate Plans are expected to include the following: <br />Plan Sheet Description <br />Cover Sheet and Index <br />Legend, General Notes, and Abbreviations <br />Survey Control and Existing Conditions <br />Typical Sections <br />Site Preparation Plans <br />Erosion Sediment Control Plans <br />Utility Plans <br />Drainage Plans <br />Structural Plans <br />Roadway Plans <br />Sidewalk Plan & Profile <br />Illumination Plans <br />Architectural Features Plans <br />Landscape and Urban Design Plans <br />Maintenance of Traffic Plans <br />Stormwater Design <br />Kimley-Horn will further advance stormwater design to support detailed design development, <br />environmental coordination, and constructability evaluation. Stormwater design is anticipated to <br />include: <br />·Refinement of stormwater assumptions and design criteria based on the selected bridge <br />layout and site configuration. <br />·Preparation of draft stormwater calculations and refinement of flow control facilities, <br />including preliminary sizing.
