April 13, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., April 13, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council <br /> Member Moore were excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 6, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Franklin abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin announced that the Community Streets Initiative <br /> Task Force meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2016, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. <br /> at the Hampton Inn, Everett. She also provided a liaison report on her <br /> attendance at the Cultural Arts Commission meeting last night. <br /> Council Member Bader spoke about the 2016 Pacific Rim Gymnastics <br /> Championships held at the XFINITY Arena, April 8-10, 2016. He also <br /> provided a liaison report on his attendance at the Growth Management <br /> Policy Board of the Puget Sound Regional Council meeting on April 7, <br /> 2016. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented on a letter from David Maynard, <br /> general manager at Yellow Cab of Washington, Inc., concerning the <br /> presence of two rideshare services in a community: Lyft and Uber. She <br /> proposed to refer this topic for further discussion to the General <br /> Government Subcommittee. <br /> President Murphy suggested he will discuss this topic with the Public <br /> Safety Subcommittee Chair and the General Government Subcommittee <br /> 119 <br />
