May 6, 2026 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., May 6, 2026, by <br />Vice President Rhyne. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Rhyne, Schwab, Burbano, Zarlingo, Bader, and <br />Tuohy were present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Weir were excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Burbano recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the April 29, 2026, meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received nineteen (19) written comments and the following members of the public <br />spoke: Leonard Warnock, Patricia Rudd, Daniel Simonton, Keith Jacobsen, Krystal Dahl- <br />Wojnarowski, Alexa Wright, Katie Kemper, and William Parent. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Burbano reported on his attendance at the Bike Film Festival, sign waving with <br />Union members, and a tour of the Snohomish County Jail. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy thanked the public commenters and reported on her attendance at the <br />Snohomish County Jail. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader requested that Administration follow-up with a commenter regarding <br />school crosswalks, reported on his attendance at the Machinists Institute Launch Expo, at the re- <br />dedication of the Temple Beth Or, and attended the Snohomish County Jail tour. <br /> <br />Vice President Rhyne thanked the public commenters, reminded the public about the “Everett
