City of Everett 01 1100 - 7 <br />2026 Biosolids Removal and Disposal UT 3752-30 <br />01 1100 - 7 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />1.10 CHANGES IN THE WORK <br />A.Change orders will be calculated based on the provisions in Section 00 7200. <br />1.11 WORK BY OTHERS <br />A.The Contractor is required to coordinate all their activities with the City’s Project <br />Manager, or their designee. The City may have other construction projects in <br />progress at the WPCF during the duration of this project and it is the Contractor’s <br />responsibility to assure that adequate notice is given to the City’s Project <br />Manager regarding equipment or materials that may need to be relocated in order <br />to perform the work. <br />1.12 WORK BY THE OWNER <br />A.The Owner shall have the right to access the site 24/7 and execute work not <br />included in this Contract and concurrent with the contract period. Contractor shall <br />cooperate with such Owner sponsored efforts. <br />B.Sample testing and analysis required by the Owner under terms of this Contract <br />will be conducted by appropriate City Staff under the supervision of Everett <br />Environmental Laboratory, which is co-located at the WPCF. All samples required <br />by City will be analyzed at City’s expense. <br />1.13 SOLIDS ANALYTICAL DATA <br />A.Biosolids data is provided in Appendix D. The biosolids have been analyzed in- <br />situ for pollutants in accordance with 40 CFR 503 as required by coverage under <br />the General Permit for Biosolids, and due to not meeting land application <br />requirements are expected to be disposed of in an appropriate landfill. Each <br />prospective bidder must determine what evaluations of the solids characteristics <br />are necessary for disposal and shall coordinate with the City’s Project Manager <br />if additional solids information is needed. Time is given at each pre-bid meeting <br />for Contractors to take additional sampling. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to <br />determine how the characteristics of the City’s biosolids may influence the <br />performance and efficiency of their equipment. Solids concentration will vary <br />horizontally and vertically within the City’s Oxidation Pond.
