ROLL CALL ORDINANC.01 NO. l� 3 An ordinance amending Sections 6 and 7 of Ordinance No. 1442, entitled "An ordinance fixing and determining the number and designation of the various officers, assistants , deputies and employees of the city of Everett, prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees , except where the same has been fixed by the charter or ordinances of the city of Everett, and further amending said ordinance by adding thereto two sections, to be designated as Sections 17 and 18, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OP EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 1442 of the city of Everett, entitled as above, passed August 8, 1912, be, and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 6: There shall be the following named officer and assistants in the Fire Department, to-wit: Chief of fire depart- ment, assistant chief of fire department, engineer, assistant engineer, three (34 captains , four (4) lieutenants, four (4) auto drivers, eight (8) pipemen. The chief of the fire department shall be the administrative head of the department. It shall be the duty of the assistants of said department to perform the duties indicated by the name of their employment, and such other duties as the chief of the fire department or the cosuissioner of public safety may authorize and direct. Section 2: That Section 7 of said ordinance be, and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 7: There shall be the following named deputies in the health department, to-wit: two (2) deputy health officers. It shall be the duty of said deputies to perform the duties pertain- ing to said department under the direction of the health officer. Section 3: That said ordinance be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a section to be designated as Section 17,
