on some bank in the city of Everett payable to the city treasurer of <br /> the city of Everett in the amount of the license fee for one year. <br /> If the license is refused by the council the city clerk shall return <br /> said certified check to the applicant. Applications for liquor licens- <br /> es ,or the transfer thereof, shall be made upon blanks furnished by <br /> the city clerk for that purpose, and all applications for the trans- <br /> fer of liquor license shall be heard only in the manner and after <br /> the giving of the notice, the same as is required for the granting of <br /> original licenses, and the same proceedings in the case of remonstran- <br /> es shall be had, <br /> A corporation desiring a wholesale liquor license shall <br /> file an application in writing,and said application shall be sworn to <br /> by its president, and attested by its secretary, and shall state the <br /> names of said stockholders and officers, and shall state that none <br /> of its stockholders or officers have ever been convicted of viol- <br /> ating the liquor laws of any city, state or country, and shall state <br /> by street number the room ffhere said business is to be conducted. <br /> Said application shall be accompanied by, a check, as is required in <br /> case of other applications for license. After filing said applica- <br /> tion the same proceeding shall be had thereon and with the same effect <br /> as in case of other applications for liquor license. <br /> If the application is approved by council, it shall issue a <br /> license to the applicant upon his paying the license fee therefor and <br /> giving a bond, as in this ordinance provided. <br /> Section 8: It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the <br /> occupation of bar tender, or to engage in the business of waiting <br /> upon the customers,or serving any of the customers of any licensed <br /> liquor dealer in the city of . verett,without first having obtained a <br /> license tnerefor,and it shall be unlawful for any licensed liquor <br /> dealer in the city of Everett to employ any bar tender or other per- <br /> son to serve his patrons with any intoxicating liquor unless the per- <br /> son so employed shall first obtain a license so to do. Any person <br /> desiring to obtain a license as bar tender,or to wait upon and serve <br /> patrons of any licensed liquor dealer,shall file with the city clerk <br /> application for such license.
