June 3, 2026 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:32 p.m., June 3, 2026, by <br />President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Weir, Rhyne, Schwab, Burbano, Zarlingo, Bader, <br />and Tuohy were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Burbano led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> <br />Police Chief Robert Goetz introduced six new police officers. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE – POLICE OFFICERS <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />appointments of Victor Pio, Kevin Bauer, Brandon Bullock, Jea Heo, Ryan Vidal, and Israel <br />Huerta as new police officers. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office and Deputy Police Chief Jeff Hendrickson pinned <br />the officers with their badges. <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 27, 2026, meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The following members of the public spoke: Grace, Dian Dian, Erica Wang, Ray S, Mia Wang, <br />Sharon Aune, Dong, Jan Carrillo, Rata Dan, Cheng Gheng, Ping An, Rosita Ives, Vanessa Capone,
