said ordinance to the qualified voters of said city of Everett for <br /> ratification or rejection at a municipal election to be held <br /> June 18, A. D. 1912" , be , and the same is hereby in all things <br /> ratified and confirmed. <br /> Section 2: That said bonds shall be dated November 1, <br /> 1912 , and shall be payable twenty (20) years from date, and shall <br /> be issued in a sum not to exceed sixty-five thousand ( 65 ,000) <br /> dollars , provided, that no greater amount shall be issued than is <br /> necessary to pay for said improvements, and to defray the cost of <br /> constructing an extension to said city dock, with the necessary <br /> equipment and buildings. Said bonds shall bear interest at a rate <br /> .not to exceed six (6)' per cent per annum from date until paid. <br /> Interest on said bonds shall be paid semi-annually. The first install <br /> ment of interest shall be paid on April 1 , 1913 , and interest shall <br /> be paid semi-annually thereafter. Said bonds shall be styled "City <br /> Dock #onds of Everett, Series No. 1" and shall be issued in denomina- <br /> tions of one thousand ( 1000) dollars each, and shall have attached <br /> thereto coupons for the several semi-annual payments of interest, <br /> payable at the same place at which the bonds shall be payable. Each <br /> of said bonds shall be payable to bearer, shall be issued in the <br /> name of the city of Everett, shall be signed by the mayor and <br /> countersigned by the treasurer, and attested by the city clerk, and <br /> shall be sealed with the seal of said city. Each of said coup:ns <br /> shall be signed by the mayor and countersigned by said city clerk, <br /> provided, that said signatures of said mayor and city clerk attached <br /> .to said coupons may be a lithographed or engraved fac simile signa- <br /> ture of said officers, and the corporate seal on said coupons may <br /> be a lithographed or engraved fac simile of said seal, and such <br /> lithographed signatures and seal shall be binding to all intents and <br /> purposes to the city of Everett. Said bonds shall be numbered <br /> consecutively from number one,upwards. The treasurer shall keep a <br /> register of all said bonds, which register shall show the number, <br /> date of issuance, and date of maturity, name and post office address <br />
