i <br /> ORDINANCE NO. \1.k <br /> An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance r?o. 459 <br /> of the city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance to license and regu- <br /> late theatrical shows and other exhibitions and places of amusement, <br /> providing penalties for the violation' thereof, and repealing all <br /> ordinances in conflict herewith" , and repealing Ordinance No. 1195 <br /> of said city. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 459 of the <br /> city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance to license and regulate <br /> theatrical shows and other exhibitions and places of amusement, <br /> providing penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing all <br /> ordinances in conflict herewith" , be and the same is hereby amended <br /> so as to read as follows: <br /> Section 3: The amounts to be paid for licenses in said <br /> city for the purposes specified in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 459 <br /> of said city, passed and approved February 23 , 1903, are hereby fixed <br /> at the following rates, namely;;,;: <br /> For each and every oirOus being transported upon railroad <br /> 4-4 <br /> cars from place to place there shall be paid for each exhibition <br /> day a license fee as follows: For a two-ring circus three hundred <br /> ($300) dollars; for 'a three-ring circus five hundred MOO) dollars. <br /> No extra license shall be paid for side shows or concerts connected <br /> with any such circus where the same are bona fide under the same <br /> management and ownership. <br /> For a merry-go-round, or a ' joy wheel' , five ($5.00) dol- <br /> lars per day for one day or any number of days less than a week; <br /> twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per week, not including the first day of <br /> the week, commonly called Sunday. 4?o license per day shall be granted <br /> for Sunday, and it shall be unlawful to operate any merry-go-round <br /> or ' joy uhiel ' under a weekly license on Sunday. <br /> For a trained animal show, fifty ( 50.00) dollars for <br /> one day, and twenty-five ($25.0o ) dollars for each additional day. �'A <br />
