Sec. 9: That from and after July 1 , 1912, the salary and compensation to be paid to the following named officer of the city of Everett and his assistants is hereby fixed as follows: Superin- tendent of streets, one hundred fifty dollars; per month; foreman, eighty-five dollars per month; teamsters , sixty-five dollars per .onth; barn boss , sixty-five dollars per month; repair men, two dollars and forty cents per day; laborers , two dollars and forty cents per day; sweepers, two dollars and forty cents per day. Sec. 13: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed. Sec. 14: WHEREAS,REAS, there is no ordinance in the city of of Everett fixing the salaries of the various office-s and employees of said city, and it is necessary that said salaries be fixed at once, an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication.
