June 10, 2026 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., June 10, 2026, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Weir, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Burbano, Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy were present. <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Tuohy recited the land acknowledgement. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin welcomed Fire Captain Mike Dove to introduce new firefighters: Allison Dorny, <br />Jason Gensheimer, Joseph Kelley, Zach King, Sean Kirk, Andrew Moreland, Thomas Nardelli, Darin <br />Rasmussen, and Kyle Thon. <br />President Schwab administered a Fire Department oath for the new firefighters. <br />Mayor Franklin declared June as Pride Month by proclamation and welcomed the Everett Pride <br />team to accept the proclamation, who thanked the City for Pride bus wraps this year. <br />Mayor Franklin also stated the FIFA Fan Zone watch parties will be June 11, 12, 18, and 19 at <br />Boxcar Park on the Waterfront and gave an overview of the watch party events. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the June 3, 2026, meeting were approved. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following member of the public spoke: Rene Pairoa. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Member Weir commented on her attendance at the Historical Commission meeting. She <br />stated the Evergreen Arboretum is hosting their plant sale June 13-15 and the Pride Block party <br />is Saturday, June 20.
