/ f .� <br /> Ordinance No . r <br /> An ordinance providing for the license of dogs in the City of <br /> Everett , regulating the keeping of the same, and providing for <br /> the Lnpounding , redemption and kills ig of the sane, and providing <br /> penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing ordinance No . <br /> 1004, and 1193 of the City of Everett , and all ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith. <br /> THE CITY OP EVERETT POE OP.L`AIN: <br /> Section 1.- It shall be unlawful for. .any person to keep <br /> any dog more than two months old in the City of Everett , without <br /> procuring n license as provided in this ordinance. <br /> Section 2.- The licence fee for each. year or part of <br /> a year shell be as' follow 3 For each male or spated ferial e dog: <br /> two dollars 02.00),), for each unsparta clog three dollars ( '3 .00 ) <br /> All licenses shall expire on the 31st day of May of the following <br /> year in which they ere issued. <br /> Section 3. Upon payment to the Chief. of Police of the <br /> regular license fee said Chief of Police shall issue to the person <br /> applying for the same, a license, and shall furnish with such <br /> license a metal tag bearing the number of the, license, the year <br /> it was issued, and the word "Everett" . Said tag shall be attached <br /> to a collar, which shall be worn by the Jog at all times. <br /> Section 4.- Every dog kept or found running at large <br /> not wearing a license tag, as herein provided; is hereby declared <br /> to be a public nuisance, and it shall be the duty of the Chief of <br /> Police or some person appointed by the Commissioner of Public <br /> Safety, to seize and impound all such dogs , and when impounded <br /> they shall be kept in custody for not less than forty-eight hours , <br /> and if the owner or keeper of any dog se impounded Beall not <br />
