ORDINANCE NO. 2531-01 An Ordinance amending the Administration Provisions of the Zoning Code, amending and superseding Chapter 41 of Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended, (EMC 19.41) WHEREAS, the City adopted interim permit review processes for land use permits through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2136-96; and WHEREAS, through the adoption of the City's Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance, the City has incorporated the interim regulations into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance which is intended to be a master procedural ordinance for land use applications within the City; and WHEREAS, consistent with the intent of making the master procedural ordinance, the procedural aspects from Chapter 41 of the Zoning Code (Administration) have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of this ordinance to make the necessary revisions to the Zoning Code so that those provisions that have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance are removed from the Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds: 1. The amendment is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Everett general plan; and 2. The amendment bears a substantial relation to public health, safety or welfare; and 3. The amendment promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1 : That Chapter 41 of Ordinance No. 1671-89 (EMC 19.41.010) which reads in part as follows: User guide. The regulations contained in this title are administered through various types of permits and approvals. This chapter describes the types of permits, tells who is responsible for processing the permits, and refers to the appropriate review process by which the permit shall be reviewed.
