June 15, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., June 15, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 8, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson spoke about a letter he sent to New World, a <br /> technology company, regarding the software managed by SNOPAC and <br /> dispatching difficulties arising from the system. He stated that the City is <br /> not satisfied with the level of service and support and asked for plans to <br /> correct the outstanding issues. Mayor Stephanson voiced condolences to <br /> Orlando victims and for a speedy recovery for everyone and their families. <br /> He encouraged Everett residents to come together to seek understanding <br /> of their differences and as a community to reject violence and support love <br /> over hate. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader expressed delight in seeing construction begin on <br /> the Lowell Riverfront Project. He also spoke about the 100th Anniversary <br /> of Boeing celebration and the 50th anniversary of the date that Boeing <br /> announced to build a plant in Everett. <br /> Council Member Tuohy thanked the Mayor for his comments in support of <br /> Orlando. <br /> Council Member Moore provided a liaison report for the Firefighter <br /> Pension Board meeting held this morning. He stated that everything <br /> presented was customary and balances are normal. He also attended the <br /> Public Facilities District meeting and stated the Public Facilities District is <br /> 196 <br />
