1 <br /> 2 820 3 6 Jb9Xiiv ocation docz <br /> 3 8-20.3(6) Junction Boxes, Cable Vaults, and Pull boxes <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Section 8-20.3(6) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 6 (******) <br /> 7 <br /> 8 CONTRACTOR shall remove existing junction box, and install new junction box to new <br /> 9 grade at new location in accordance to COE Standard Drawings 800 series and shall <br /> 10 be of the type indicated in the plans. The adjustment operations shall be conducted to <br /> 11 prevent damage to any conduits. All parts or materials damaged as a result of the <br /> 12 Contractor's operations shall be replaced at no expense to the Contracting Agency. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The patch material used around the junction box shall be the same as the adjacent <br /> 15 pavement. For asphalt concrete pavement roadways, junction boxes located in the <br /> 16 traveled way shall be adjusted to final grade after final paving in accordance with <br /> 17 Section 5-04.3(13). For Portland cement concrete pavement roadways, valve boxes <br /> 18 shall be adjusted prior to the surface finish. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 All junction boxes and vaults installed in sidewalk areas shall have non-skid covers, and <br /> 21 foundation base footings. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 8-20.5 Payment <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Section 8-20.5 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 26 (******) <br /> 27 <br /> 28 "Reset Type 1 J-box", per LS. <br /> 29 The unit Contract price per each for "Reset Type 1 J-box", shall be full pay for costs <br /> 30 necessary to remove and install the new junction box, including excavation, backfill, and <br /> 31 restoration of adjacent areas in a manner acceptable to the ENGINEER. <br /> 32 All labor, equipment, and materials required to removing and installing new J-box shall <br /> 33 be included in the contract unit price. Damaged resulted from this work, shall be <br /> 34 restored to the satisfaction of the ENGINEER, at no additional cost to the <br /> 35 CONTRACTING agency. <br /> 36 If junction box relocation involves conduit modification, as determined by the <br /> 37 ENGINEER, payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-09.6. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 "Signal Improvement & other electrical work" per Lump Sum. <br /> 40 The Contract Unit Price for "Signal Improvement & electrical work" shall be full payment <br /> 41 for all material, labor, tools and equipment to perform the signal and electrical work at <br /> 42 the intersection 12th St and Rainier and all other electrical work, as shown on the plans, <br /> 43 including installation of beacons, all associated mounting hardware, conductor <br /> 44 installation and termination, relocating meter base and service panel, restoring all <br /> 45 facilities damaged during construction, and performing all required tests. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 <br /> 48 <br /> HAWTHORNE ELEMENTARY <br /> SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL <br /> FED AID#SRTS-0420(021);COE#3540 SP-85 March 16,2016 <br />
