I 1 INTRO.AP1 I2 INTRODUCTION 3 The following Amendments and Special Provisions shall be used in conjunction with the II 4 2016 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. 5 6 AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS I 7 8 The following Amendments to the Standard Specifications are made a part of this contract 9 and supersede any conflicting provisions of the Standard Specifications. For informational I 10 purposes, the date following each Amendment title indicates the implementation date of the 11 Amendment or the latest date of revision. 12 13 Each Amendment contains all current revisions to the applicable section of the Standard I 14 Specifications and may include references which do not apply to this particular project. 15 16 1-06.AP1 I17 Section 1-06, Control of Material 18 January 4, 2016 I19 This section is supplemented with the following new section and subsections: 20 I 21 1-06.6 Recycled Materials 22 The Contractor shall make their best effort to utilize recycled materials in the 23 construction of the project; the use of recycled concrete aggregate as specified in I 24 Section 1-06.6(1)A is a requirement of the Contract. 25 26 The Contractor shall submit a Recycled Material Utilization Plan as a Type 1 Working 27 Drawing within 30 calendar days after the Contract is executed. The plan shall provide I28 the Contractor's anticipated usage of recycled materials for meeting the requirements of 29 these Specifications. The quantity of recycled materials will be provided in tons and as 30 a percentage of the Plan quantity for each material listed in Section 9-03.21(1)E Table 31 on Maximum Allowable Percent (By Weight) of Recycled Material. When a Contract 32 does not include Work that requires the use of a material that is included in the 33 requirements for using materials the Contractor may state in their plan that no recycled I 34 materials are proposed for use. 35 36 Prior to Physical Completion the Contractor shall report the quantity of recycled I 37 materials that were utilized in the construction of the project for each of the items listed 38 in Section 9-03.21. The report shall include hot mix asphalt, recycled concrete 39 aggregate, recycled glass, steel furnace slag and other recycled materials (e.g. I 40 utilization of on-site material and aggregates from concrete returned to the supplier). 41 The Contractor's report shall be provided on DOT Form 350-075 Recycled Materials 42 Reporting. 43 I 44 1-06.6(1) Recycling of Aggregate and Concrete Materials 45 I I AMENDMENTS TO THE 2016 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK Revised: 1/4/16
