I <br /> 1 INTRO.AP1 <br /> I2 INTRODUCTION <br /> 3 The following Amendments and Special Provisions shall be used in conjunction with the <br /> II 4 2016 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br /> I 7 <br /> 8 The following Amendments to the Standard Specifications are made a part of this contract <br /> 9 and supersede any conflicting provisions of the Standard Specifications. For informational <br /> I 10 purposes, the date following each Amendment title indicates the implementation date of the <br /> 11 Amendment or the latest date of revision. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Each Amendment contains all current revisions to the applicable section of the Standard <br /> I 14 Specifications and may include references which do not apply to this particular project. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 1-06.AP1 <br /> I17 Section 1-06, Control of Material <br /> 18 January 4, 2016 <br /> I19 This section is supplemented with the following new section and subsections: <br /> 20 <br /> I 21 1-06.6 Recycled Materials <br /> 22 The Contractor shall make their best effort to utilize recycled materials in the <br /> 23 construction of the project; the use of recycled concrete aggregate as specified in <br /> I 24 Section 1-06.6(1)A is a requirement of the Contract. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The Contractor shall submit a Recycled Material Utilization Plan as a Type 1 Working <br /> 27 Drawing within 30 calendar days after the Contract is executed. The plan shall provide <br /> I28 the Contractor's anticipated usage of recycled materials for meeting the requirements of <br /> 29 these Specifications. The quantity of recycled materials will be provided in tons and as <br /> 30 a percentage of the Plan quantity for each material listed in Section 9-03.21(1)E Table <br /> 31 on Maximum Allowable Percent (By Weight) of Recycled Material. When a Contract <br /> 32 does not include Work that requires the use of a material that is included in the <br /> 33 requirements for using materials the Contractor may state in their plan that no recycled <br /> I 34 materials are proposed for use. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Prior to Physical Completion the Contractor shall report the quantity of recycled <br /> I 37 materials that were utilized in the construction of the project for each of the items listed <br /> 38 in Section 9-03.21. The report shall include hot mix asphalt, recycled concrete <br /> 39 aggregate, recycled glass, steel furnace slag and other recycled materials (e.g. <br /> I 40 utilization of on-site material and aggregates from concrete returned to the supplier). <br /> 41 The Contractor's report shall be provided on DOT Form 350-075 Recycled Materials <br /> 42 Reporting. <br /> 43 <br /> I 44 1-06.6(1) Recycling of Aggregate and Concrete Materials <br /> 45 <br /> I <br /> I AMENDMENTS TO THE 2016 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 1/4/16 <br />
