I <br /> 1 1-06.6(1)A General <br /> 2 The minimum quantity of recycled concrete aggregate shall be 25 percent of the total <br /> 3 quantity of aggregate that is incorporated into the Contract for those items listed in <br /> 4 Section 9-03.21(1)E Table on Maximum Allowable Percent (By Weight) of Recycled <br /> 5 Material that allow the use of recycled concrete aggregate. The percentage of recycled <br /> 6 material incorporated into the project for meeting the required percentage will be <br /> 7 calculated in tons based on the quantity of recycled concrete used on the entire <br /> 8 Contract and not as individual items. <br /> I9 <br /> 10 If the Contractor's total cost for Work with recycled concrete aggregate is greater than <br /> 11 without the Contractor may choose to not use recycled concrete aggregate. When the <br /> 12 Contractor does not meet the minimum requirement of 25 percent recycled concrete <br /> 13 aggregate for the Contract due to costs or any other reason the following shall be <br /> 14 submitted: <br /> 15 <br /> I16 1. A cost estimate for each material listed in Section 9-03.21(1)E that is utilized <br /> 17 on the Contract. The cost estimate shall include the following: <br /> 18 <br /> I 19 a. The estimated costs for the Work for each material with 25 percent <br /> 20 recycled concrete aggregate. The cost estimate shall include for each <br /> 21 material a copy of the price quote from the supplier with the lowest total <br /> I22 cost for the Work. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 b.
