The face of the wall shall offer a <br /> 21 rock-face type appearance. Modular block units shall be similar to "Key Stone", "Allan <br /> 22 Block", MESA wall or as approved by the ENGINEER. The color of modular block shall be <br /> 23 gray. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 This work also includes preparing foundation soil, furnishing and installing leveling pad, unit <br /> 26 fill and backfill and furnishing and installing all appurtenant materials required for <br /> 27 construction of the retaining wall as shown on the details and plans. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Submit sample of each different unit for approval. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Submit shop drawings of the wall layout for approval prior to beginning work on the wall. <br /> 32 Shop drawings of walls over six feet in height shall bear the stamp of an engineer registered <br /> 33 to practice in the State of Washington showing appropriate wall stability calculations. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Submittals <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Installation shall conform to the manufacturer's recommendations for the type of unit <br /> 38 furnished. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 The Contractor shall submit catalog cuts of the modular blocks and shop drawings of the <br /> 41 wall layout for approval prior to beginning the work. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Provide copies of the manufacturers' installation at least two weeks prior to beginning the <br /> 44 work.
