I CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS b. Increase the number of working hours per shift, shifts per working day, working days per week, or the amount of Equipment, or any combination of the foregoing. c. Reschedule activities. If requested by the City's Representative, the Contractor shall prepare a proposed schedule revision demonstrating a plan to make up the lag in progress and insure completion of the Work within the Contract Time. All actions taken to return the Project to the accepted schedule are at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall pay all costs incurred by the City that result from the Contractor's action to return the Project to its accepted schedule, including, but not limited to, additional, overtime, or third party inspection, design and construction management service costs. Contractor agrees that City shall deduct such charges from payments due the Contractor. It is further understood and agreed that none of the services performed by the City's Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and I managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. 1-08.4(2) Work Sequencing I (******) The intention of construction sequencing requirements and constraints is • To manage wet weather flows during the period prior to construction of the Grand Avenue Park Bridge (GAPB) so as to minimize the likelihood of Stormwater flooding in the neighborhood. • Construction of the new sewer on Rockefeller, new sewer force main on 17th St. 111 and replacement collection sewers in alleys, shall be performed at the beginning the project. • Subsequent to completion of the above described sewers, construction of the new Stormwater drainage network may commence. • To limit the size of the area disrupted by construction at any one time, and, • To ensure that restoration occurs within a reasonable timeframe following pipeline installation. The Work, as depicted on the plans and details and as described in the General I Description and Location of Project at the beginning of Division 1, shall be constructed in a pre-planned sequence developed by the Contractor and shown in detail on the construction schedule as defined in Section 1-08.3. Pipelines shall be constructed beginning at the downstream end and progressing upstream. 1-08.4(3) Special Construction Constraints (******) 1-08.4(3)A Special Construction Constraints -Trenching a. Special coordination and scheduling constraints will be required related to the sequence of the work and associated impacts on local residents, businesses and institutions. Specifically, the Contractor's haul routes, trenching, pipe installation, backfill and restoration activities will be conducted in limited areas identified in 1.08.4(2) and on the Drawings.
