I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> b. Increase the number of working hours per shift, shifts per working day, <br /> working days per week, or the amount of Equipment, or any combination of <br /> the foregoing. <br /> c. Reschedule activities. <br /> If requested by the City's Representative, the Contractor shall prepare a proposed <br /> schedule revision demonstrating a plan to make up the lag in progress and insure <br /> completion of the Work within the Contract Time. All actions taken to return the Project <br /> to the accepted schedule are at the Contractor's expense. <br /> The Contractor shall pay all costs incurred by the City that result from the Contractor's <br /> action to return the Project to its accepted schedule, including, but not limited to, <br /> additional, overtime, or third party inspection, design and construction management <br /> service costs. Contractor agrees that City shall deduct such charges from payments <br /> due the Contractor. It is further understood and agreed that none of the services <br /> performed by the City's Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project <br /> status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and I <br /> managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. <br /> 1-08.4(2) Work Sequencing I <br /> (******) <br /> The intention of construction sequencing requirements and constraints is <br /> • To manage wet weather flows during the period prior to construction of the <br /> Grand Avenue Park Bridge (GAPB) so as to minimize the likelihood of <br /> Stormwater flooding in the neighborhood. <br /> • Construction of the new sewer on Rockefeller, new sewer force main on 17th St. 111 <br /> and replacement collection sewers in alleys, shall be performed at the <br /> beginning the project. <br /> • Subsequent to completion of the above described sewers, construction of the <br /> new Stormwater drainage network may commence. <br /> • To limit the size of the area disrupted by construction at any one time, and, <br /> • To ensure that restoration occurs within a reasonable timeframe following <br /> pipeline installation. <br /> The Work, as depicted on the plans and details and as described in the General I <br /> Description and Location of Project at the beginning of Division 1, shall be constructed <br /> in a pre-planned sequence developed by the Contractor and shown in detail on the <br /> construction schedule as defined in Section 1-08.3. Pipelines shall be constructed <br /> beginning at the downstream end and progressing upstream. <br /> 1-08.4(3) Special Construction Constraints <br /> (******) <br /> 1-08.4(3)A Special Construction Constraints -Trenching <br /> a. Special coordination and scheduling constraints will be required related to the <br /> sequence of the work and associated impacts on local residents, businesses <br /> and institutions.
