If the design days from submission for review and returnengineer is not g a full time employee of the City, the Contractor should expect thirty (30) calendar days from submission for review and return of comments. The Engineer may extend this I time for good cause by notifying the Contractor. The Engineer will check and return three (3) hardcopies or one electronic set of such drawings. On all Submittals of a drawing after the drawing's initial Submittal and return, the Contractor shall: make any corrections required by the Engineer; expressly and explicitly notify the Engineer in writing of any and all deviations from the specifications and all revisions other than the corrections called for by the Engineer on previous Submittals; and return three (3) corrected hardcopies of the drawings or one corrected electronic drawing for the Engineer's further review. The Contractor shall plan on at least fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of Engineer's receipt for the Engineer's review, comment, and return of submitted drawings. Some shop drawings may require more than six (6) hardcopies. The Contractor shall furnish additional hardcopies when requested. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of dimensions and details on shop drawings, and for complete conformity with the Contract Documents, even if the shop drawings have been approved by the Engineer, or if the Contractor and the Engineer agree on dimensions and details. The City does not accept shop drawings as accurate or adequate, and does not take responsibility for, or warrant that shop drawings will meet Contract requirements. Engineer's review of shop drawings shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility for variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless Contractor has in writing called the Engineer's attention to each such variation at the time of submission, and the Engineer has given written approval of each such variation by a specific written notation thereof incorporated in or accompanying the returned shop drawing; I nor will review by Engineer relieve Contractor from responsibility for errors or omissions in the shop drawings or from responsibility for having complied with the provisions of this section. The Bid prices shall include all costs for furnishing shop drawings and Submittals. The following listed sections of the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions require shop drawings, catalog cuts or standard drawings that may or may not be applicable to this specific project. This list is supplied as an aid to the Contractor and is by no means complete. Submittal requirements may be found in 1-05.3(1) or elsewhere in these Special Provisions.
