March 26, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., March 26, 2014 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Council Members Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher and <br /> Anderson were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council Member Roberts <br /> were excused. <br /> Council President Moore requested a moment of silence for the victims <br /> and all those affected by the landslide in Oso. <br /> Council President Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 19, 2014 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned the outcome of his request to have <br /> the city take a look at the number of cities who have contracts for jail <br /> services with Snohomish County. Deputy Police Chief Templeman stated <br /> that the city has been notified by the Snohomish County Sheriff that <br /> effective May 9, 2014, all of the outside contracts for jail services will be <br /> terminated. <br /> Council Member Murphy offered his thoughts and prayers to the victims <br /> and families of the Oso landslide. <br /> Council Member Anderson reported on his attendance at the Public <br /> Facilities District Board meeting. He remarked that Standard and Poor's <br /> have downgraded the PFD's bond rating on the fixed rate debt from an A- <br /> to BBB. <br /> Council Member Bader reported on his attendance at the Council of <br /> Neighborhoods' meeting. <br /> Council President Moore stated that he, along with Council Members <br /> Murphy and Anderson, attended the Greater Everett Community <br /> 75 <br />
