April 20, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., April 20, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Member Moore was excused. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 13, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH — POLICE OFFICER <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Tuohy, to concur with the appointment of Alex Lever as a new police <br /> officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered the oath of office and Mayor <br /> Stephanson presented the officer with his badge. <br /> Mayor Stephanson spoke about a letter he sent to Governor Inslee <br /> regarding vetoing several provisions of the 2016 Supplemental Operating <br /> Budget (ESHB 2376). The Mayor commented on his business trip to <br /> Washington, D.C. Mayor Stephanson provided an update on Washington <br /> State University's expansion in Everett. <br /> 126 <br />
