April 2, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., April 2, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Vice President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Gipson, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Anderson were present. Council Member Moore <br /> was excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 26, 2014, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson reported on the city of Everett's support and response <br /> efforts related to the Oso landslide. He expressed his sympathy for the <br /> many families and communities affected by this tragedy and thanked the <br /> many City employees who have assisted in this effort. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts reported that last week he attended the GLOBE <br /> 2014 Conference last week. He also commented on information provided <br /> by Planning Director Allan Giffen regarding the potential for a proposal to <br /> de-annex areas in the Japanese Gulch area. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney stated there would be no executive session requested <br /> this evening. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Willie Russell, Everett, spoke regarding various issues with the City of <br /> Everett Police Department and Prosecutor's office. <br /> 81 <br />
