1 Planting <br /> ' 2 <br /> 3 Section 8-02.3(8) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 4 <br /> ' 5 <br /> 6 (******) <br /> All plant material shall be installed according to planting details shown on the Plans. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Container plants shall be installed upright. Hold plant rigidly in position until topsoil has <br /> 9 been backfilled and tamped firmly around the ball or roots. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 When planting pit is three-quarters (3/4) backfilled, fill with water and allow water to soak <br /> 12 away. Fill pits with native soil to finish grade and continue backfilling as detailed on the <br /> 13 Plans. Water plants immediately after planting. <br /> ' 14 <br /> 15 All live stakes shall be planted or placed during the dormant season. Soak live stakes for <br /> 16 24 hours minimum prior to planting. Rebar shall be used to prepare the holes for the <br /> 17 cuttings. The soil shall be firmly compacted around the stake after installation. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Measurement <br /> 20 <br /> ' 21 Section 8-02.4 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 22 <br /> 23 (******) <br /> 24 "PSIPE, 1 gallon" will be measured per each (PSIPE is Plant Selection Including Plant <br /> 25 Establishment.) <br /> 26 <br /> 27 "PSIPE, Live stake" will be measured per each. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Payment <br /> ' 30 <br /> 31 Section 8-02.5 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 32 <br /> 33 (******) <br /> 34 Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-04.1 for the following bid items: <br /> 35 <br /> ' 36 "Planting," per lump sum. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The contract price for "Planting" shall be full pay for all labor, materials, tools and equipment <br /> 39 necessary to install plant material in the limits of work and elsewhere on the site including all <br /> ' 40 costs for the labor, supplies, equipment, and materials needed to furnish PSIPE container <br /> 41 plants, live stakes, or other plant material.
