I 1 made necessary by the Work and for the purpose of maintaining and making repairs to I 2 their property. 3 4 1-04.3(3)(C)(2) Known Utilities I 5 6 The Contractor shall provide at its sole expense all labor, Equipment, materials and 7 services necessary to remove, relocate, or maintain utilities specified on the drawings. 8 The work on each utility shall be performed in a manner satisfactory to the utility owner. j 9 The utility owner has the option of doing such work with its own forces at the 10 Contractor's expense, or permitting the work to be performed by the Contractor. 1 11 12 1-04.3(3)(C)(3) Service Connections 13 14 Locations of service connections are not identified on the drawings. The Contractor I15 shall provide at its sole expense all labor, Equipment and material to remove, relocate or 16 maintain service connections. Work on service connections shall be performed in a 17 manner satisfactory to the service connection owner. The service connection owner has I 18 the option of doing such work with its own force at the Contractor's expense, or 19 permitting the work to be performed by the Contractor. 20 1 21 1-04.3(3)(C)(4) Unknown Utilities 22 23 When a utility interferes with the Work and is either (1) not identified on the drawings or 1 24 (2) located in a position significantly different from that specified on the drawings, 25 Contractor shall follow the procedures of section 1-04.7 Differing Site Conditions 26 (Changed Conditions). Interference with the Work is defined as a utility that crosses or I 27 Projects into the plane of the Work at an elevation between the top and bottom of the 28 work. If it is necessary to remove, relocate, or temporarily maintain the utility, that work 29 shall be included in a Change Order. The utility owner has the option of doing such work 30 or permitting the work to be performed by the Contractor. In either case, the cost of the 31 work incurred by or charged to the Contractor will be included in a Change Order. 32 33 1-04.4 Changes I34 Section 1-04.4 is modified to read as follows: ' 35 I 36 1-04.4(1) Owner's Right to Direct Changes to the Work 37 38 The Owner reserves the right to change the Work at any time. Such changes shall not I 39 invalidate the Contract nor release the surety, and the Contractor agrees to perform the 40 Work as changed. Among others, these changes and alterations may include: 41 1. Deleting or omit any part of the work, Equipment and/or material to be provided 42 under this Contract, and 43 2. Increasing or decreasing quantities, 44 3. Altering Specifications, designs, or both, 45 4. Altering the way the work is to be done, I 46 5. Adding new work or Extra Work, 47 6. Altering facilities, Equipment, materials, services, or sites, provided by the 48 Owner, and I 49 7.
