1 <br /> 1 1-06 CONTROL OF MATERIAL <br /> 2 <br /> 3 1-06.4 Handling and Storing Materials <br /> 4 I 5 Section 1-06.4 is modified by adding the following: <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Contractor shall store materials and Equipment so as to insure the preservation of their <br /> 8 quality and fitness for the work. Stored Equipment and materials shall be located so as <br /> 9 to facilitate inspection. The Contractor shall be responsible for damages, loss or <br /> 10 casualty occurring to materials and Equipment until Final Acceptance. <br /> 11 I <br /> 12 1-07 LEGAL RELATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 13 I 14 1-07.1 Laws to be Observed <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Section 1-07.1 is modified by adding the following: <br /> 17 I <br /> 18 The Contractor shall be in compliance with all applicable standards, orders, or <br /> 19 requirements issued under Section 306 of the Clear Air Act [42 U.S.C. 1857(h)], Section <br /> 20 508 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1368), Executive Order 11738, and 1 <br /> 21 Environmental Protection Agency Regulations (40 CFR Part 15). (Contracts, <br /> 22 subcontracts, and subgrants of amounts in excess of$100,000). <br /> 23 <br /> 24 The Contractor shall comply with mandatory standards and policies relating to energy <br /> 25 efficiency which are contained in the state energy conservation plan issued in <br /> 26 compliance with the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (Pub. L. 94-163). <br /> 27 <br /> 28 The City advises all general contractors and subcontractors that numerous Federal, <br /> 29 State, and Local regulations exist that could affect the procedures used in the <br /> 30 completion of this project. The City advises each prospective Contractor that they are <br /> 31 responsible to be aware of and comply with all applicable statutes and regulations. It is <br /> 32 recommended that each Contractor contact the local office of the following agencies for <br /> 33 a list of applicable regulations and requirements that might affect the implementation of <br /> 34 this project: <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Federal Environmental Protection Agency <br /> 37 Washington Department of Health <br /> 38 Washington Department of Ecology <br /> 39 Washington Department of Fisheries <br /> 40 Washington Department of Wildlife <br /> 41 Washington Department of Labor& Industries <br /> 42 Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency <br /> 43 Municipal Building Department <br /> 44 Municipal Planning Department <br /> 45 Municipal Public Works Department <br /> 46 <br /> 47 If the scope of work in this contract includes work at the City of Everett Water Filter Plant <br /> 48 or the Waste Water Pollution control Facility, Contractor must comply with the <br /> 49 requirements of the Washington Department of Labor & Industries for such work I <br /> 50 including, but not limited to, Chapter 296-67 WAC. All costs associated or incurred in <br /> 51 complying with these regulations or any other regulations listed above are considered <br /> 52 incidental to the Contract and are included in the Contractor's proposal.
