DK#1 beam should be a minimum 3-2x8 HF#2. DK#2 beam should <br /> be a minimum 4x8 HF#2. <br /> 2) Deck joists,PT 2x8 at 16"o/c, approximately spanning 9'-0"are adequate for the applied <br /> loading. Simpson Tie hanger, LSU28 at the 2x8 deck joists are adequate for applied <br /> loading <br /> 3) Deck beam(DK#3),approximately spanning 10-0"should be a minimum 3-2x8 HF#2. <br /> 4) Deck beam (DK#4), approximately spanning 7'-0" should be a minimum 3-2x8 HF#2 <br /> with LUS28-3 hanger and a PT 4x4 post as end supports. <br /> 5) Deck beam (DK#5), approximately spanning 12'-0" and supporting deck beam (DK#4) <br /> should be a minimum PT 6-2x8. <br /> 6) Deck beam (DK#6), approximately spanning 4'-0" and supporting deck beam (DK#5) <br /> should be a minimum PT 4x10 with 4x4 post and HU410 hanger as end support. <br /> 7) Deck beam(DK#7),approximately spanning 9'-6"should be a minimum PT 4x10. <br /> 8) Deck beam(DK#8),approximately spanning 9'-6"should be a minimum PT 4x8. <br /> 9) Deck posts,PT 4x4 or PT 4x6 are adequate for applied loading. <br /> 10) PT 2x8 ledger with 5/8" diameter x 4" lag bolts at 16" o/c fastened to what appears <br /> existing rim joist is adequate for applied loading. However, CK Engineering LLC could <br /> not verify connection between the existing cantilevered floor joists and rim joist due to <br /> existing soffits. Since adequate support of the existing rim to the existing joist is crucial <br /> for the ledger support, we recommend field verifying this connection to determine if up- <br /> side down hangers, such as HU210, or any kind of L-shape clips are present between the <br /> floor joists and rim joist. <br /> 11) 12" diameter sono-tube foundation, assumingly resting on a native soil is adequate for <br /> applied loading. However,at DK#2&6 footing should be a minimum 18"square by 10" <br /> deep with 2-#4 re-bars located at footing mid depth,each way. <br /> 12) Deck railing appears constructed per manufactured specifications with exceptions of <br /> railing post to deck joist connections.
