I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT PUBLIC WORKS DOCUMENT 00 21 13 <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> 1.25 TIME OF COMPLETION <br /> A. The Contractor shall complete the Work on or before the date or dates specified in <br /> DOCUMENT 006013 -CONTRACT. <br /> I <br /> 1.26 WAGES <br /> A. All laborers, workmen, or mechanics in each trade or occupation employed in the performance <br /> of the Contract either by Contractor,Subcontractor, or other person doing Work shall be paid <br /> not less than the prevailing rate of wage as defined in RCW 39.12.010. Bidder shall use the <br /> Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Snohomish County, effective at the time of bid <br /> opening. Bidder is solely responsible to use the schedule in effect at the Bid Opening Date, <br /> determine the appropriate labor classification(s), and use the appropriate and correct prevailing <br /> wage and benefit rate(s). Current prevailing wage rates may be found on line at <br /> http://wwwlni.wa.gov/TradesLicensing/PrevWage/WageRates/. The rules and <br /> regulations noted within the Contract Documents are available from: <br /> State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries City <br /> Employment Standards Division <br /> General Administration Building <br /> 1 Olympia,Washington 98504 <br /> Contact: Janet Day <br /> (206)753-6317 <br /> B. Bidders are advised to examine and to be thoroughly familiar with such requirements. <br /> 1. No claim for additional compensation will be allowed that is based upon a lack of <br /> knowledge of these requirements or a failure to include adequate increases in such wages <br /> over the term of this Contract in the Bidder's bid price. <br /> 1 1.27 EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY <br /> A. The Contractor will be required to assure that equal employment opportunities will be in effect <br /> to all individuals throughout the length of this Contract, pursuant to DOCUMENT 007213-, <br /> Part 7"Labor Standards,"of the Contract Documents. <br /> B. The Contractor must comply with all local, state and federal laws pertaining to non- <br /> discrimination and equal employment opportunity. <br /> 1 1.28 DBE/WBE SUBCONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. The Contractor is required to actively solicit bids for subcontract work from "Disadvantaged <br /> Business Enterprises"(DBE's)and"Women's Business Enterprises"(WBE's). <br /> B.
