1 <br /> ' CITY OF EVERETT PUBLIC WORKS SECTION 01 56 00 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS <br /> ' SECTION 015600—ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS <br /> ' PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> ' 1.1 RELATED WORK DESCRIBED ELSEWHERE <br /> The provisions and intent of the Contract,including the General Conditions, Supplementary <br /> Conditions, and other sections of the General Requirements,apply to this work as if specified <br /> ' in this section. <br /> 1.2 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. The Work includes the requirements to furnish, install and maintain environmental controls by <br /> the Contractor until the acceptance of the Contract. The Work also includes compliance with all <br /> 1 controls or ordinances with respect to safety, noise, dust, fire and police action, civil <br /> disobedience, security,or traffic. <br /> ' B. The Contractor shall submit a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (also referred to as a <br /> Temporary Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan) in accordance with Section 015713. The <br /> plan shall be approved and implemented prior to commencement of the Work. <br /> 1.3 SITE MAINTENANCE <br /> Materials and equipment shall be removed from the site when they are no longer necessary. <br /> ' Upon completion of the work and before final acceptance, the work site shall be cleared of <br /> equipment, unused materials, and rubbish to present a clean and neat appearance in conform- <br /> ance with the present condition of the site. <br /> 111 <br /> A. CLEAN-UP <br /> ' 1. Waste material of any kind shall not be permitted to remain on the site of the work or <br /> on adjacent streets. Immediately upon such materials becoming unfit for use in the <br /> work,they shall be collected,carried off the site and disposed of by the Contractor. <br /> 2. The Contractor shall keep all buildings occupied by the Contractor clear of all refuse, <br /> spoils, rubbish and debris that may accumulate from any source and shall keep them <br /> in a neat condition to the satisfaction of the Engineer. <br /> 3. In the event that waste material, excavation spoils, refuse, debris and/or rubbish are <br /> not so removed from the work by the Contractor in a timely manner, the City <br /> ' reserves the right to have the waste material, refuse, debris and/or rubbish removed <br /> and the expense of the removal and disposal charged to the Contractor. <br /> ' 4.
