April 30, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., April 30, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found Council <br /> Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and <br /> Anderson were present. Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Approval of the minutes of the April 23, 2014, Everett City Council <br /> meeting was postponed to the next meeting. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison update on budget committee <br /> activities for the past week. He announced that the City's health <br /> insurance broker has been tentatively scheduled to brief the City Council <br /> on May 21, 2014. Council Member Murphy also stated that a list of <br /> surplus properties is currently being compiled and appraisals obtained. <br /> CFO/CAO Debra Bryant stated that information should be available in <br /> approximately one month. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested a handout be provided to City Council <br /> prior to the presentation by the City's health insurance broker. Debra <br /> Bryant stated she will be scheduling pre-meetings with the broker to <br /> develop presentation materials, which will also be provided to council <br /> members. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance this week at a rally <br /> for the Stand Against Racism program sponsored by the YMCA. On <br /> behalf of Sound Transit, he also participated this week in the dedication of <br /> the Northgate Link tunnel boring machine. Council Member Roberts also <br /> requested a future City Council briefing for presentation of the Puget <br /> Sound Clean Air Agency strategic plan. <br /> 114 <br />
