AMENDED EXHIBIT A <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> KENNEDY COURT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> Kennedy Court Improvement Project is located at 3228, 3230, and 3232 Norton <br /> Ave., Everett, WA 98201, and further identified in Attachment 1 to this Exhibit A (the <br /> "Property" or "Kennedy Court"). Kennedy Court is an existing, occupied property <br /> that Housing Hope originally purchased in 1991. <br /> The Project includes the rehabilitation of the occupied buildings of the Property to <br /> extend their useful life and to provide upgrades to the residential units. Agency will <br /> use the City HOME funds that are the subject of this Agreement to rehabilitate the <br /> property. There are eight (8) units in the Project: seven (7) shall be designated <br /> HOME-Assisted Units. <br /> II. PROJECT CONFIGURATION <br /> A. The Property consists of three (3) small contiguous parcels on a site with a total <br /> of 0.37 acres. The site contains four (4) existing apartment buildings, with 2 units <br /> each and a laundry area. <br /> There are two (2) two-bedroom units and six (6) three-bedroom units. The <br /> Project will involve the substantial renovation of the Property to extend its useful <br /> life and to improve the living conditions for the existing and future residents. <br /> B. The rehabilitation will include: <br /> 1. Replacement and enhancement of various interior unit finishes; <br /> 2. Building envelope preservation upgrades, including siding, roofing, and <br /> window replacements; <br /> 3. The conversion of an underutilized community room to a common laundry <br /> area; and <br /> 4. The redesign and implementation of an upgraded common courtyard area. <br /> 5. Conversion of one unit to be ADA compliant. <br /> 6.
