Provide 110 volt smoke alarm with battery back-up in all locations as required by section <br />R314 IRC. Show location on plans. <br />7. All stairways are required to have a 36" landing at the top and the bottom. Provide 36" <br />landing at new concrete stair to (E) basement. <br />8. Provide R-10 rigid insulation with thermal break at perimeter of slab-on-grade where <br />slab is less than 24" below the finished grade. Where the slab-on-grade is 24" or more <br />below the finished grade provide R-5 rigid insulation thermal break between the slab-on- <br />grade and the concrete wall. <br />9. R-49 insulation is required in vaulted scissortrusses. R-38 is allowed in'�single rafter-or <br />joist vaulted ceilings only. (Table R402.1.1 WSEC) <br />10. Provide structural plans for proposed deck ofF of the master bedroom, including <br />footings, post/footing connection, post/beam, guard construction & height. Specify <br />lateral connection per section R507 IRC. Detail lateral connection. Show how railing <br />system is attached to the deck structure. <br />il. The existing window on the "1� Floor Plan," may not meet the minimum requirements <br />for egress. Verify the net clear opening is not less than 5.7 square feet. Specify egress <br />requirements on plans. <br />12. Provide sections, details and elevation views for all new porches, stairs, guards, <br />handrails for interior and e�erior. Specify footing size, location, depth at exterior. <br />13. Provide sections/details for posts and pads in crawl space added without permits. Show <br />lateral and seismic connections. (New post/beams also) <br />14. Provide roof framing plan. Show how 3'-0" overhang at addition is supported. Provide <br />attic ventilation calculation. <br />15. Provide detail(s) for knee brace construction and attachment to the dwelling. <br />16. Specify safety glass at windows and doors w/glass located in hazardous locations as <br />defined in section R308 IRC. <br />17. Add U-Value for all fenestration on door & window schedule. <br />18.
