i`' �� :�� <br />aU�� � � �oo� <br />c�PERATIONS & <br />PvIAiNTENANCE <br />July 18, 2005 <br />Mr. Roy Harris, Streets Supervisor <br />Streets Department <br />City of Everett <br />3200 Cedar Street <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />Dear Mr. Harris: <br />Our family would like to offer a brief dissent to the request by one of our <br />neighbors, Don Jensen, who is asking the City to remove some "hazardous" trees on the <br />west side of Dover Street near Mukilteo Blvd. Mr. Jensen, and his parents before him, <br />have occupied their land for years and years, but isn't it interesting that now that Mr. <br />Jensen has subdivided his property into four view lots and is selling out and leaving the <br />neighborhood, he has suddenly become concerned about these "hazardous" trees that, by <br />the way, diminish the view from some of his newly-created lots? <br />This isn't a public safety issue raised by a concerned citizen, this is a case of <br />personal greed. Besides, a few trees left standing, even in a view neighborhood, add <br />interest to the view as well as create a little habitat for birds and other critters. Please <br />don't fall for his ploy.
