August 10, 2016 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING — COUNCIL BILL 1607-31: <br /> Niels Tygesen, Planning, provided a brief overview of the proposed <br /> ordinances. <br /> President Murphy opened a public hearing regarding Council Bill No. <br /> 1607-31, a proposed ordinance annexing property located East of the <br /> existing city limits, South of 12th St. N.E. and West of Union Slough, <br /> known as the Smith Island Municipal Annexation. <br /> President Murphy invited public comment. <br /> There were no citizens who wished to speak. <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1607-31 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing property located East of the existing city <br /> limits, South of 12th St. N.E. and West of Union Slough, known as the <br /> Smith Island Municipal Annexation <br /> Moved by Council Member Franklin, seconded by Council Member Bader, <br /> that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 258 <br />
