August 17, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., August 17, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 10, 2016, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> The Mayor had no comments or updates. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin provided a liaison report from the Community <br /> Streets Initiative meeting held Wednesday morning, including an update <br /> on action of embedded social workers and encouraged citizens to donate <br /> to the Streets Initiative Flex Fund. <br /> Council Member Tuohy reported on the for-hire vehicle industry <br /> regulations discussed at the Public Safety Subcommittee meeting held <br /> earlier this evening. Staff was asked to prepare a new ordinance for these <br /> regulations. Police Chief Templeman also gave an update about Police <br /> Department involvement with the Safe Streets Plan. <br /> Council Member Moore reported on his attendance at the Fire Pension <br /> Board meeting held Wednesday morning and stated everything went <br /> regularly. He also attended the Everett Public Facilities District meeting <br /> and stated they are having a positive financial year. <br /> Council Member Bader stated he would be leaving at 7:45 p.m. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated the General Government Subcommittee <br /> will meet on August 31 at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the Charter Review <br /> 265 <br />
