Provide labor,signs,and other traffic control devices, for performing traffic control <br /> procedures needed for the protection of the Work and the Public. <br /> I1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br /> Not Applicable <br /> IA. <br /> 1.03 REFERENCES <br /> I A. MUTCD-Manual on Uniform Traffic control Devices for Streets and Highways <br /> City of Everett Design and Construction Standards (current edition) <br /> I1.04 CONSTRUCTION UNDER TRAFFIC <br /> A. The Contractor shall be responsible for first aid; the safety,efficiency,and adequacy of <br /> the Contractor's plant,Equipment,and method of construction; and for any damage or <br /> I <br /> injury resulting from the failure, improper maintenance,use or operation of such plant or <br /> Equipment or method of operation. <br /> tB. Notifications Relative to Contractor's Activities: <br /> 1. The Contractor shall plan and schedule Contractor work activities to conform to <br /> I and allow time for notifications,approvals,reviews, and other conditions of the <br /> Contract Documents. <br /> a. For Work That Partially or Completely Restricts Any Arterial, Street, <br /> I Sidewalk, or Alley <br /> b. Disruptions to,or service modification requests for,Everett transit <br /> service <br /> c. Property access restrictions <br /> Id. Emergency Work for Pavement or Sidewalk Problems <br /> The Contractor shall: <br /> IC. <br /> 1. Conduct all operations with the least possible obstruction and inconvenience to <br /> the public. <br /> I 2. Have under construction no greater length or amount of work than can be <br /> continuously and vigorously prosecuted properly with due regards to the rights of <br /> the public. <br /> 3. To the extent possible,finish each section before beginning work on the next. <br /> I <br /> 4. Minimize the disruption of public traffic by: <br /> a. Permitting traffic to pass through the Work with the least possible <br /> inconvenience or delay except in those areas where safety and lack of <br /> I space requires detour of the traffic elsewhere. <br /> b. Maintaining existing roads,Streets, sidewalks,bikeways,and paths that <br /> lie next to or inside the Project limits by keeping them open and in good, <br /> IVEHICULAR ACCESS AND PARKING 01 5500- 1 <br />
