I <br /> POLICE HQ—MASONRY CLEANING AND REPAIR APRIL 15,2016 <br /> control, for temporary sedimentation control, and for temporary water pollution control 1 <br /> work will be considered incidental to the Work and such costs shall be included in the <br /> Bid item prices for the various Bid items of Work listed in the Bid Form,unless a specific <br /> Bid item for temporary erosion/pollution/sedimentation control work is included in the <br /> Bid Form. <br /> 1.13 DEWATERING I <br /> A. The Contractor shall operate and maintain all pumps,tanks and other equipment <br /> necessary for the environmentally safe removal and disposal of water from the various <br /> parts of the work. The method proposed by the Contractor for removal of water from <br /> excavations shall be subject to the approval of the Owner. The Owner has the right and <br /> authority to disapprove any method proposed for discharge of water from excavations. I <br /> B. When discharge of water from the site is subject to approval of any Federal, State or local <br /> agency,the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining such approval before <br /> commencing any pumping or de-watering operation. <br /> 1.14 LIABILITY AND PAYMENT <br /> A. The Contractor shall be liable for the payment of all fines and penalties resulting from <br /> failure to comply with the Federal, State and local pollution control regulations even <br /> though the Owner is on the job at the time of the violation. I <br /> B.
