sanitary sewers in small, isolated areas within the City's corporate limits <br /> that are not served by sanitary sewers. <br /> In all cases, the $4,000 City payments shall apply only to single- <br /> family residences or businesses or other City Water Utility customer on <br /> septic systems that exist at the time the public sewer mains are <br /> constructed. Also, the $4,000 payments shall be made in the form of <br /> credits deducted from the property owners' proportionate shares of the <br /> City's cost of constructing the sanitary sewers. The $4,000 payments <br /> shall not be rebates or cash disbursements to new sewer customers. <br /> Further, the $4,000 payments apply only to single-family residences or <br /> businesses or other City Water Utility customer on septic systems <br /> benefiting from public sanitary sewer mains constructed by city crews or <br /> by construction contractors officially retained by the City of Everett. <br /> Section 2. Section 2. of Ordinance No. 1561-89, as amended by <br /> Ordinance 1816-91, which reads as follows: <br /> Section 2: Bond area sewer connection charges and special sewer <br /> connection charges as established under Ordinance No. 627-79 and <br /> Ordinance No. 1171-85 for sewer connections shall be waived to existing <br /> single family residences for a period of 12 months after the privately- <br /> financed sewer main is constructed and accepted by the City. Said waiver <br /> shall not apply to multi-family or commercial/industrial structures. <br /> Is hereby amended to read: <br /> Section 2: Bond area sewer connection charges and special sewer <br /> connection charges as established under Ordinance No. 627-79 and <br /> Ordinance No. 1171-85 for sewer connections shall be waived to existing <br /> single family residences or businesses or other City Water Utility customer <br /> on septic systems for a period of 12 months after the privately-financed <br /> sewer main is constructed and accepted by the City. Said waiver shall not <br /> apply to multi-family or large commercial/industrial structures. <br /> Section 3. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1561-89, as amended by 2084- <br /> 95, which reads as follows: <br /> Section 3. An additional surcharge of $13.32 per month shall be <br /> charged to the single-family residential properties receiving the $4,000 <br /> sewer construction payments as provided in Section 1 above, <br /> commending with connection to the Everett sewer system or pursuant to <br /> Ordinance No. 1164-85 (EMC 14.08.250) or as such may be amended. <br /> This surcharge shall be in addition to all other rates and fees charged to <br /> these customers. <br />
