'NG/NEERING / PUBLIC SERV/CES DEPARTMENT <br />February 4, 2008 <br />Valmari Renata <br />2416 Cleveland Ave <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />Re: 2416 Cleveland Ave <br />Everett WA 98201 <br />Dear Ms Renata, <br />An inspection of the property located at 2416 Cleveland., was performed by City staff <br />including Ted Budden Building Inspector, Tim Alaniz Electrical inspector, Shellie Pons <br />Mechanical & Plumbing inspector, and mysel£ The following deficiencies/concerns <br />were noted; <br />1. A licensed electrical contractor is required. Remove ceiling panels in basement <br />and call for an evaluation with the electrical contractor present. The evaluation <br />will determine the specific items that need to be addressed to bring the electrical <br />work up to the minimum code required. <br />2. Have a licensed electrical contractor survey the attic wiring and provide an "as- <br />built" print for the attic. Have the electrical contractor megger all attic circuits. <br />Further action is contingent on the results of the tests and observations of the <br />electrical contractor. <br />3. The electrical panel will also need to be brought up to code. <br />4. Smoke alarm not provided (hardwired and interconnection required per R313 <br />IRC) <br />5. Insulation: <br />a. Walls — covered, not accessible (R-21 required) <br />b. Floor — not accessible (R-30 batts in framed floor, or R-10 under slab <br />perimeter required) <br />c. Ceiling —verify R-38 <br />6. Handrail required on stairs when 4 or more risers are present (Interior and exterior <br />stairs). <br />7.
