• <br /> 1 to authorize the Property Officer of the Department of Facilities and Fleet Management, <br /> 2 to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the surplus and transfer of said <br /> 3 County property interests to the City of Everett; and <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the county council held a public hearing on August 31, 2016, to hear <br /> 6 public comment and consider authorizing the county executive to execute the Interlocal <br /> 7 Agreement for the Smith Island Restoration Project by and between Snohomish County <br /> 8 and the City of Everett; and <br /> 9 <br /> 10 WHEREAS, the county council has determined that it is in the public interest to <br /> 11 approve the Interlocal Agreement for the Smith Island Restoration Project by and <br /> 12 between Snohomish County and the City of Everett, and authorize the county executive <br /> 13 to execute same <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED: <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Section 1: The county council hereby adopts the foregoing recitals as findings of <br /> 19 fact and conclusions as if set forth in full herein. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Section 2. The county council hereby approves and authorizes the county <br /> 22 executive to execute the Interlocal Agreement for the Smith Island Restoration Project <br /> 23 by and between Snohomish County and the City of Everett (ILA), in the form attached <br /> 24 hereto as Exhibit A, in the amount of $ 4,130,000.00, for which the City of Everett <br /> 25 Maximum Obligation Amount is $670,000. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Section 3. The county council further authorizes the Director of Public Works to <br /> 28 approve amendments to this Agreement providing for the County to perform work for <br /> 29 the City up to an additional amount not exceed $150,000, for a total amount paid by the <br /> 30 City of $820,000. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Section 4.
