September 21, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., September 21, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Members Bader and Stonecipher were excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 14, 2016, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> President Murphy announced that Action Items No. 7 and 8 had been <br /> pulled from the agenda and will be brought back for action after additional <br /> questions are answered by Administration. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH — POLICE OFFICERS <br /> Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to concur with the appointment of Troy Moss and David <br /> Sanchez as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Members Bader and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk designee administered the oath of office, and Mayor <br /> Stephanson presented the officers with their badges. <br /> Mayor Stephanson spoke about his attendance at the fifth anniversary of <br /> the YMCA Casino Road Community Center. He also attended the Valley <br /> View-Sylvan Crest-Larimer Ridge neighborhood meeting, where he <br /> discussed supportive housing with citizens. The Mayor stated the city will <br /> host a community meeting on October 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at <br /> 293 <br />
