6. Specify tempered safety glass in windows installed in hazardous locations as defined in <br /> section R308.4 of the IRC. Show on plans. <br /> 7. All doors, windows and partitions shall be located on the plans with dimensions. <br /> 8. Snohomish County records show a second floor of 429 S.F. (approx. 14.3'X 30). The <br /> construction drawings show an increase of approximately 240 S.F. The plans should <br /> reflect the square footage proposed and total square footage. <br /> 9. The plans as submitted do not show compliance with the 2012 Washington State Energy <br /> Code (WSEC) table R402.1.1 and table R406.2 energy credits. Revise plans to reflect <br /> required insulation in all components including roof, walls above grade, walls below <br /> grade. <br /> 10.The proposed 2 X 10 rafters do not provide sufficient depth for the R-38 insulation and a <br /> minimum 1"clear air space (see #9 above). Specify header size at all doors, windows and openings in interior walls that are affected <br /> by the additional floor area added. Trace all loads to the foundation (R-10 rigid <br /> insulation is required at all headers in exterior walls.) <br /> 16. Section 403 of the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) states: <br /> Every habitable space shall have at least one openable window.
